I’m developing a journal exercise around anticipation. I was moved to do it a. as I was struck this week by my father’s aging and b. as I was watching my students courageously tackle exercises thrown at them during a voiceover studio field trip.
For Part 1, I’d like you to write about the words:
ANTICIPATION, PROCESS and AFTERMATH.
What do these words mean to you? Share what you come up with in “comments.”
But if we learn to think of it as anticipation, as learning, as growing, if we think of the time we spend waiting for the big things of life as an opportunity instead of a passing of time, what wonderful horizons open out!
