The Cloudscape Comics Society is a community of comic creators in Vancouver, BC who together publish and distribute quality graphic novel anthologies, as well as host comic workshops and other related events. Here enterprising comic artists come together to network, develop their ideas, and help each other perfect their craft. Everyone is welcome to the weekly evening meet-ups on Wednesdays, starting at 7:30 PM in the back room of the Grind and Gallery Coffee Bar.

A Cloudscape double bill! We’re going to be exhibiting our show ‘Cirrus’ in the Cultch gallery, and we’re going to be launching our new book, Giants of Main St.! On the walls you’ll find art by Christine Vivier, Jonathan Dalton, Jeff Ellis, Oliver McTavish-Wisden, Toren Atkinson, Edison Yan, Jason Chauder, Allison Koberstein, Colin Upton, Sean Karemaker and Reeta Linjama.

Also partnered up with Cloudscape is the great Suzy Stroet, a wonder painter.

In the lobby you’ll find all Cloudscape books on sale including our new anthology. The event starts at 6 and ends at 8 with a play going on afterwards in the Cultch theatre. The bar will stay open afterwards for straglers, but we’ll have to keep it down.

No cost, just come on in and have a good evening with art and comics.
