Recall the purchase of a tattoo machine.
Stencilling is fun and satisfying when transferring it to skin, but kind of awkward and not ideal.
My sense is that I will be drawing my designs freehand directly on the skin as I want to emulate my drawing style:
But I do love the look of a discarded stencil:
