Autumn leaf study and paper tests
Testing Bristol board. Leaf held up against the sun at Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park, Vancouver. Original study lower row. Test prints top row. I am used to working on smooth cheap newsprint with light-beige background. My new graphic novel project (Fall 2026 release) requires white paper. It’s all about the tooth of the paper and finding balance between thickness of outline and light. © KATARINA THORSEN
