I choose to remove my own mask in my own time. #authenticity

Don’t you, when strangers and friends come to call, straighten the cushions, kick the books under the bed and put away the letter you were writing? How many of us want any of us to see us as we really are?  Isn’t the mirror hostile enough?

We can receive all the help and advice in the world, and read all the books, but truly it is only when WE remove OUR OWN MASKS and expose our vulnerabilty that true and authentic change happens.  Asking others to do it for you, or feeling pressured to do it before we are ready only results in anxiety.
