Part 6 daily journal workshop. INVITE ALTER STRETCH EXTEND. #arttherapy

Recall:

Part 1 JUST WRITE

Part 2 DRAW OUT THE WORDS

Part 3 HEART

Part 4 SPILL OUT COLLAGE

Part 5 NAKED SCREAM

Our journals are our private places to process.  But allowing the world in can be very liberating.  Today I encourage you to invite a friend, a relative, someone in your life to start a page for you.  Just ask them to write or draw anything.  [You can also start the page yourself, of course!]  Inviting someone into your journal extends, stretches and alters you.

I invited youth artist, Rajwi, to start my page.

Now collect some images for a collage.

Collage around the image started on your page.  Stretch the images, alter them, extend them.

Choose a favorite quote.

Grab some paint and a brush.

Write the quote out repeatedly and loosely in paint.  Be liberal.  Be in the moment.  Let it go.  TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF.

REAPETED. REPEATED. RE PEATED.

Now spend some minutes writing.  Stream of consciousness, filling the page.  Just like in part 1, just write.  ANYTHING.  Tomorrow we will use these words and compare them to how we felt in part 1.
