Part 25 daily journal workshop. TAKE YOUR JOURNAL OUT. #arttherapy

Now that we are pretty far into this journal [notice how I’m taking you all the way to the end of mine, and we’re half way there], shove your journal in your bag, or thrust it under your arm, grab some pens and get the hell out of the house.

Make your journal your best friend.  Your image-idea file, your to-do list, your companion.  Invite people to write in it.

Today's guest speaker is youth artist, Jacob Vestergaard!

Mess it up a bit by accidentally spilling on it at the coffee shop, shove reminders in it, recipes, save some clippings.

Make it a daily routine to check in with it, to review it.  IT’S YOU.

Anaïs Nin by Irving Penn

The morning I got up to begin this book I coughed. Something was coming out of my throat: it was strangling me. I broke the thread which held it and yanked it out. I went back to bed and said: I have just spat out my heart. – Anaïs Nin
